Following yet another change in Government import regulations, our team have been able to move back onto some of the works postponed for the last three months.
Fencing around our new Binturong enclosure is now nearing completion and should be done next week, after which work will resume on the bear viewing platform and new Dingo paddock between the bears and tigers. This will allow the current Dingo enclosure to be re-fitted for some new arrivals due in June; which does promise to be a busy month here at the Park for animal arrivals.
As we always have a list, inevitably with a changing order of priorities, the new Meerkat 'mountain' and adapting the old Aardwolf enclosure by the Macaws for two more new species will then be next.
We hope that all of these will be in place by the end of the summer.
Two more new bird species have arrived recently too, just last week, and will move out into the park once their isolation period is complete.
