Baby Birds - Is It Spring at last..?

The recent dry spell has been a busy time for the core team of keepers at the Park. Early spring is the start of the nesting season for many of our birds, and of course for them this year is no different!
In addition to Scarlet Ibis chicks just hatched, and our pair of Barking Owls sitting on eggs, we have our very first young Galah or Roseate Cockatoo. This first chick is a few weeks old now and is being reared by its parents, a female from the Hunter Valley Zoo in New South Wales and a male from the Darling Downs Zoo in Queensland.
