New Arrivals...

09/03/2018

The weather in the UK has made the news over the last couple of weeks, but thankfully our area was saved the worst. A few very cold nights with temperatures down to -8 C were combined with a bitter wind-chill and a few inches of snow. All of our animal accommodation is designed to meet all of our animals requirements, so conditions were difficult for our keepers but no issue for the animals. Thankfully the bad weather was short-lived, and normal miserable English spring weather has returned, with the odd glimpse of something better.

Towards the end of the really bad weather we welcomed a number of new arrivals to the Park; a total of 20 animals of 6 different species. Some are new to the Zoo and some provide new bloodlines for existing breeding programmes. All travelled well, and as soon as they have cleared their required quarantine period and the weather has improved, we will introduce them into their permanent homes.

Please keep an eye on our web-site and social media pages for further information which we will post over the next few weeks...
