Otter enclosure finished..

Our new enclosure for Asian Short-clawed Otters and Binturongs was finally completed last week. It features trees, shrubs and climbing frames for a pair of Binturongs who are slowly exploring their new area, Our family group of Otters is now in residence too, and as expected are not quite so shy. They can often be seen playing and exploring, and for the first time have a stream and waterfall in addition to their pool; plus a large area of land as this species of otter is only semi-aquatic and spends most of its time out of the water. It always takes a little while for animals to settle in to a new home, and to the noise and disturbance caused by visitors - but they are getting bolder by the day...
