Wet, Wet, Wet

31/01/2014

January is now officially the wettest in recorded memory in England. Our part of Cambridgeshire has not been as badly hit as many, but the rain has been relentless. We are lucky that most of the Park now has hard paths, and most of the animals can be seen from these - but the grassy areas which link some of the paths have taken quite a battering. As most of our visitors come at other times of year and appreciate the open lawns, there is little we can do about this, and it always recovers very quickly in the spring. Some Parks close at this time of year for this reason, but we have always stayed open to give our visitors the choice. Please bear this in mind when you visit in the winter - and we do recommend suitable footwear, if you want to venture off the paths.
