The Park is a haven for not only the fantastic exotic animals to be found here, but for native wildlife too. The open rolling farmland in which the Park is situated, is given over to large open agricultural fields in current agricultural practice, and provides relatively few wildlife habitats. Our area has little grassland and practically no livestock save factory-style poultry units. A couple of years after the Park opened our first pair of Swallows nested in the top Marmoset house roof. In summer 2015 we have 27 nesting pairs on site and hundreds of chicks have already fledged this year.
