After a very wet spell, our weather has improved at the end of January allowing the park to dry out a little.
Our play area is still to wet to open unfortunately, and we hope that this will have improved for the Easter holidays, when the train will start again as usual, giving access to the dinosaurs.
Work continues on site, with improvements to the car-park area which again should be in place by Easter.
Fencing and drainage work at the flamingos is approaching completion and the birds will be outside again when the next spell of consistent better weather starts.
Off-show work includes the expansion of our quarantine and isolation areas for reptiles and other small animals, ahead of a number of new arrivals expected later in the season.
EDIT - 17/02/2024
The above mentioned dry spell was VERY short lived! We have had rain every day during the first half of February, up to and over the February half-term. The grounds are very soggy, but thankfully we have been spared the floods which have hit many other parts of southern England. Roll on spring...
