Wow..! Wombat..!

Our Wombats are now on show. These super cute cousins of the Koala can now be seen at Hamerton Zoo Park in their purpose built enclosure next to our new 'Outback Aviary'. These are the only Wombats in the UK, and the first to be seen in this country for forty years. They form part of our important collection of Australian animals, and can usually be seen doing either of a Wombats two favourite things - digging huge holes - or snoozing in their dens, as digging huge holes is hard work, even for a Wombat..!
